Hardship Does Not Define The Narrow Road

January 23, 2019

“It is wrong to assume that you are on the narrow road simply because your life is hard. Life is hard for everyone – atheists and Christians, lukewarm followers of Jesus and true disciples alike. Hardship does not define the narrow road; it presents the opportunity for Christians to take the next step on the narrow road with fresh resolve and firm hope.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, A Different Kind of Happiness, “The Answer: To What Question?” pg 222

Questions for Reflection:
• Do you tend to identify the narrow road with suffering or with companionship with Christ, regardless of your situation?
• What is the focus of your hope today?
• What redemptive story are you being offered the opportunity to tell in the midst of your current circumstances?
