God’s Active Presence With Us

September 12, 2018

“Living for God’s glory, and not for the blessings this life may provide, guarantees God’s active presence with us, sometimes felt and enjoyed, sometimes unfelt during long dark nights of neither visible blessings from Him nor experienced intimacy with Him.

“But the Spirit is always at work. We believe it and have hope. Eventually we experience it and know joy.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, The Pressure’s Off, Chapter 16, “Five Building Blocks of New Way Living,” pg 157

Questions for Reflection:
• Consider God’s guaranteed active presence with us – does that promise impact the way you consciously live on a daily basis?
• How can that promise draw you beyond moralistic living and into deeper relationship with God and others?
