Assessing Oneself

July 19, 2017

“The mature Christian judges himself, not with the spirit of self-hatred, but with the eager desire to conform more fully to the image of Christ. Assessing oneself for the purpose of growing has nothing to do with a contemptuous and obsessive search for evil motives, nor is it prompted by an urge to defend oneself or to prove oneself worthy.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, Finding God, Page 131-132

Questions for Reflection:
• Take some time today to thank God for the opportunity to become like Jesus.
• As you look at God’s redemption at work in your life, what are you most grateful for?
• In which areas do you long to grow more like Christ?
