Humility And Dependence

August 10, 2016

“The Bible states clearly that God does everything He does for His glory. Perhaps the brightest glory I can give Him comes to life and becomes visible when His Spirit empowers me to reveal by the way I relate both His holy character of love and His sometimes inexplicable but always good ways, even as my internal bedlam continues and at times seems to drown out all noise but its own. It’s then that humility is inevitable and dependence becomes necessary. And that’s a good thing.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, A Different Kind of Happiness, Page 55

Questions for Reflection:
• How does your experience of overwhelming “internal bedlam” shift when you consider it an opportunity for deeper humility, greater dependence and making God’s glory visible?
• Ask the Holy Spirit to anchor your heart today in the hope that He can reveal His love through you even when you are most aware of your own inner chaos.
