Never Let The Way You Feel Determine The Way You Relate

January 14, 2015

“To love in this world means to feel pain and lament failure, to enjoy blessings and celebrate My felt or unfelt presence, but to never let the way you feel determine the way you relate. When you obsess over the way you feel, you are trying to find yourself; you are not pouring life into another. And, as My Son made clear, that is the path to death.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, 66 Love Letters, Page 350-351

Questions for Reflection:
• In what ways are you being tempted today to allow your feelings or circumstances to shape your view of God or the way you relate to others?
• In the midst of today’s challenges, both in your situation and within your own heart, what opportunities are you being given to enjoy God and give others a taste of Who He is?
