Face the Disappointment We’re Determined To Never Experience Again

January 1, 2014

“To become effective in our interactions with people, we must change in our approach to relationships. We must turn from self-protective maneuvering to a rich involvement that deeply touches people. And that turn occurs only through repentance. To meaningfully repent of the ways in which we violate love, we must recognize them. We won’t recognize self-protective patterns of relating as sinful violations of love until we face the disappointment in our soul we’re determined to never experience again.”

Dr. Larry Crabb, Inside Out, Page 224

How is God calling you to change some of the ways you relate?
